Peak Performance: Conquering Ben Lawers
You can see it from the deck of your lodge. It dominates the skyline, its shoulders often dusted with snow. It is Ben Lawers—the highest mountain in the southern Highlands.
We believe that the softest beds feel even better when your legs are pleasantly tired. This is the essence of Craggantoul wellness: earning your relaxation.
THE HOME ADVANTAGE
From Your Doorstep
Craggantoul Estate is situated on the southern slopes of the Ben Lawers range. While other hikers have to drive hours to get here, you are already at basecamp.
The National Trust for Scotland car park is just a short drive up the road, located high up the ridge. This makes Ben Lawers one of the most accessible "big" climbs in the country.
On a clear day, the views are endless. You can look down the entire length of Loch Tay and point out your luxury lodge to your friends.
THE RECOVERY
The 'Après-Hike' Ritual
On a normal hike, the end of the trail means a long, cramped drive home. Here, the end of the trail is just the beginning. You pull up to Craggantoul House or The Barn Lodge.
First thing: Boots off. Then, head straight for your private outdoor hot tub. The 38°C water increases blood flow to your tired muscles, flushing out lactic acid and preventing stiffness.
The mountain is calling, but the luxury is waiting. Don't just look at the view—conquer it.
