Perthshire - Wildlife and Beauty
Perthshire has a good range of log cabin and lodge accommodation. Although it is popular, it avoids the crowds that flock to other famous Scottish destinations. Because of this, it makes a great base for a holiday. All the log cabins we provide are comfortable, clean and based in the countryside. In short, there is all you need for a relaxing outdoor break.
There are a number of Lochs to visit during your stay in Perthshire. Loch Tay is a beautiful lake, while Loch Rannoch and Loch Erricht are just a drive away. In addition, there are a number of smaller lochs to see. The surrounding hills make excellent vantage points and picnic stops. Due to their remoteness, the lochs are a haven for rare wildlife.
Scotland is known as the lungs of the UK, with millions of trees and forested areas. Many of the forests are open to the public to visit. Luckily, Perthshire has some of the main woodland sights. Tay Forest Park, Craigvinean, and Queen's View Visitor Centre are excellent day trips. You can walk, run, and cycle. Great for kids!
Due to the variety of landscapes, the views surrounding Perthshire are stunning. The lochs, mountains, and forests are interspersed with pretty villages - many with a tale to tell. The landscape also provides a chance for relaxation, reflection, and memories to last a lifetime. Just don't forget the camera!
